1. Open a Windows Command Prompt shell on your computer (Search for cmd)

2. Navigate to the Geocap installation folder by typing in:
   (Note that the version number needs to correspond to the version you have installed)

   cd C:\Program Files\Geocap\Geocap 8.1.7\bin

3. Then type in:

   start geocap.exe --hardwareid

4. You should then get a pop-up similar to this:

   

5. Copy this Hardware-ID and follow the steps above to request an offline license.

   (Replace the path to license file with your own path and filename)

   start geocap.exe --licensefile C:\Users\username\Downloads\GeocapClassic_Geocap_8_10068cc9-a274-496e-9ea4-25b26f9aba62.jwt

4. When Geocap has started navigate to the toolbar and select: License > License Manager.

5. Click Browse and find the license file again

6. Click OK
