{alias:rcd} h2. Name *rcd* --- Read from cursor and draw h2. Syntax {panel:|borderStyle=solid|borderWidth=1|bgColor=#ffffaa} *rcd* \[*liw*] \[*poi*] \[*col*] \[*max | min | hei*] \[*sav*] \[*tub*] \[*dva*] \[*noy*] \[*chc*] \[*lco*] \[*set*] {panel} h2. Description *rcd* is used for digitizing both in 2D and 3D. It will read data by cursor-clicks on the left mouse button. The zoom (right) and pan (middle) mouse buttons can be used while digitizing. When digitizing is ended, the result will be a dataset, usually present both in workspace *^rcd* and as the active dataset. Check the [ug: Keyboard Shortcuts] in the [User Guide|ug:] to learn what keys can be used for digitizing. {tip:title=Tip} The digitizing functionality has a front-end in the Quick digitizing, found under Tools. There are many alternative digitizers present in Geocap. The command edit, !att:_img_icon2^Edit points and lines.png! is one examle, other examples are the Shelf functionality for digitizing outer limits, the command Red snapper, !att:_img_icon2^Red snapper.png! and seismic interpretation. {tip} Use *[acd - Append data from cursor]* to append instead of digitizing from scratch. h2. Arguments *liw* _line\_width_ {indent}Digitize with _line\_width_ ( 1 / 2 / 3 / ...). {indent} *tub* {indent}Display the digitized line in tube mode. {indent} *min* | *max* {indent}Digitize with height = @zmin | @zmax. {indent} *hei* _height_ {indent}Digitize with height (z-value) set to _height_. {indent} *col* _color_ {indent}Apply color _color_ (_color_ = red | gre | blu |...) when digitizing. {indent} *poi* \[*lin*] {indent}Display only the points. *lin* means display also lines. {indent} *dva* {indent}Display value of the points. {indent} *sav* _workspace\_name_ {indent}Save digitized data in workspace _workspace\_name_ in addition to workspace *^rcd*. {indent} *noy* {indent}The *noy* argument will disable the *y* key while digitizing. Ending the digitizing will enable the *y* key. {indent} *chc* \[*whi | red | gre ...*] | _r g b_ {indent}The *chc* argument will change the color when digitizing. {indent} *lco* {indent}Digitize using local origo and double precision. {indent} Options that can be *set* before or during digitizing. *set* \[*cir*] \[*cno*] \[*hei*] \[*dva*] \[*col*] \[*oll*] \[*all*] \[*crossing*] {indent} Options that can be *set* before or during digitizing. *cir* \[*col* | *rad* _radius_] - Digitize and display a circle at digitizing position. Use *col red|gre...etc*. *rad* will set circle radius to _radius_. *cno* \[*on|off*] - connect exclusively to nearest point in *active*. *off* will disconnect. *hei* _heightvalue_ - Digitize using z coordinate _heightvalue_ . *dva* \[*on|off*] - Display z value during digitizing. *col whi|red|gre ...* - Specify color in digitizing line. *oll* - Use special *s m c hotkeys* in _outer limit line_ digitizing. *all* - Use special *s m c hotkeys* in all digitizing. *crossing* _value_ - Determines what will happen when digitizing picks up the crossing point of two lines. {info:title=Options in z value when digitizing picks up the crossing point of two lines} 0: no action. 1: use z value from active line (default) 2: use z value from crossing line 3: use the middle value as z value 4: use lowest z value as z value 5: use highest z value as z value {info} {indent} h2.
