Introduction

The toolbox provides you with four vertical tabs for easy access to the main functionality for visualizing and manipulating your datasets. By clicking on a tab in the toolbox it will expand, revealing its functionality, while the others will be collapsed.

The commands section in the Toolbox
The command tab offers a categorized view of the commands available in Geocap. At top level the commands are stored as either Item Commands, Schema Commands or Shared Commands. To read more about this categorization and how to execute the commands see: Commands.

There is a Pin to Menu checkbox next to every command in the toolbox. This checkbox decides if the command should be visible through the right-click menu on a dataset in the project. By default, none of the shared commands are set to show up in the projects right-click menu.

Color Tables

The tab for color tables provides you with a list of default color tables, some well suited to display seismic data, other to display different grid types, e.g. topography. You can also create your own color tables by clicking the icon. Read more about how to create your own color tables in the visualization chapter.

Shell and Workspace
