| IntroductionThe cross section window in Geocap is used for several things: - Display existing profiles from the project.
- Display custom profiles from grids.
- Display seismic lines, their corresponding interpretations and crossing lines.
- Edit multibeam survey data (only Geocap Seafloor)
The cross section window can be opened from Windows > New > Cross Section Window |

Display an existing profile
To load an existing profile into the cross section window click the small triangle next to the 
Image Added icon and click browse cross section. Then browse for the profile you want to view.
Crossing lines can also be displayed as vertical lines by clicking the Image Added icon and browsing for the dataset.

Display a seismic line
To load a seismic line into the cross section window click the small triangle next to the Image Added icon and click browse cross section. Then browse for the seismic line you want to view.
Interpretation, and crossing lines can also be displayed on top of the seismic by clicking the Image Added icon and browsing for the dataset.
