From Geocap 8.1.x and above Geocap now utilizes a cloud-based licensing system, which requires users to log in to access the application. This documentation provides step-by-step instructions on how to register as a user and start the Geocap application.
Registering as a user
Send an email to support@geocap.no, providing the following information:
Your full name
Email address
Organization
Upon sending the email, you will receive a confirmation email containing an invitation link.
Click on the "View your invitation" link in the email. This will open a web browser displaying the registration page.
Click on the "Accept" button on the registration page.
Fill out the registration form with the required information and click on the "Sign Up" button. After submitting the form, you will see a confirmation message.
Return to your email inbox, open the validation email, and click on the "Confirm your email" link provided. This step confirms your email address.
Once you have completed the above steps, you have successfully registered and logged in to the Geocap application.
Start application
When starting the Geocap application, the following scenarios may occur:
If you are not logged in:
The application will prompt you with a message asking you to log in. Follow the login instructions provided.
If you are already logged in:
The application will open and automatically check out a license, if available.
