Quick digitizing

- Click Start digitizing and use the left mouse button to digitize.
- Click Connect to start if you want to close the polygon.
- Click Stop digitizing to save the line/polygon.

A digitized line is saved in the workspace by default. Use the Save digitized line also in folder option to save it directly in the project. Just tick the check box and browse in the folder you would like to save it to. |
Digitizing in 3D
Quick digitizing operates in 2D mode by default and one can just click with the left button key to digitize. It is however possible to enter 3D mode and perform digitizing in 3D.

3D digitizing is made easy by using y to attach to a surface and the manipulator to get control elsewhere. A typical case for 3D digitizing is to supply some extra points to grid input around a salt diapir or specific structure that is not properly covered by the input points.
Edit points and lines
The Edit points and lines can be used to edit imported or digitized polydata.
The command lets you:
- Move points
- Change value of a point
- Delete points
- Select points
- Digitize
