Postscript output in Geocap is mainly created by using the psc command. They allow VTK data, graphics primitives, text, and axis to appear in Postscript format for later output to a hardcopy device.

While almost any kind of plotting feature can be created using the above features in combination with the Tcl programming language, most users will eventually expect a higher level interface; this task is currently being worked on.
The three steps goes like this
- Open a Postscript file
- Draw something, e.g. a map and some axes
- Close the postscript file
