Introduction

Keyboard shortcuts enable keyboard interaction with the graphics window. For this, the graphics window needs to have keyboard focus, attained by clicking on the window area with the mouse button.

General keyboard shortcuts

Fly through and zoom Zoom towards the cursor position you are pointing at. The cursor need to point at graphics, otherwise no action. This shortcut should not be used in 2D-mode.

Toggles Toggle on/off the interactive crosshair widget for cursor positioning in 3D. Works inside the window frame.

j

Jump to a point in polydata-sets that are displayed. This will position the cursor at a point position. Useful e.g. while having the Distance calculation panel opened. Or while digitizing. Valid from Geocap 6.3.4.

o

Toggle on/off color code legend for the last color contouring display. See also shell command cco - Color code legend.

p

Position the cursor point. In 3d-mode this will result in a red marker at the cursor position. In 2d-mode, this is equal to just clicking with the left mouse button.

r Resume

actor scale of graphical elements Rescale to all graphical elements. Note that r does not set the window.

s

Set graphics back into surface/solid mode after having viewd viewed graphics in wire mode by w.

v

Value. Will display a number (z-value) where the cursor is pointing. Note that you have to point at a displayed surface.

Set graphics to wire mode. Return to the default surface/solid mode by s. The equivalent shell command is wire - Wire mode

Setting Set the focal point by pointing at a visual element. The graphics will afterwards rotate around this point.

y

Cursor point is set at the surface of the graphical element.

z

Zoom by drawing a rubber band with left button on the mouse.

Delete last digitized point.

Flag when digitizingSet a flag when digitizing. This means that one cell (line piece) is completed and the digitizing will start on a new cell.

Home (back to start) when digitizing, i.e. close current cell (line piece) by biting the "tail".

n

Nearest point when digitizingpoint. Grab whatever point is nearest to the cursor position. This is easiest to do in 2D-digitizing. In 3D digitizing this may be used in combination with p and the manipulation to set the cursor position.

u

End digitizing

The most frequently used keys are x , y , z , + , -

...

. This will terminate a digitizing session, and the result of the digitizing will be put into a workspace. For the digitizing started with shell commands, the workspace name is ^rcd.
