- Select File > New > Project
- Select a project template. If you can`t find a template that suits your type of project, select General.
- Type in a name and select the directory path.
- If you selected the General template, click Next and select the folders you want to include in your project. (You can always create the folders at a later stage.)
- Click Finish
Disk representation
A Geocap project is stored in a folder on your computer. The project consist of a ".db" file, which contains information about the project tree, and several files which contain the data sets. You should let Geocap manage the files in the project folder and should not store other files in this folder.
