Introduction

Geocap is operated through the dialogs and interfaces discussed in the Interface chapter.

Geocap has three main platforms:

  1. Oil & Gas (sometimes referred to as E&P)
  2. Shelf (Unclos Art. 76 functionality)
  3. Seafloor

All of these platforms contains a suite of functionality, data structures and visualization techniques. Each platform may be extended with add-on functionality.

Scripting and commands

Geocap contains a wide range of functionality and is a RAD (Rapid Application Development) tool.

Geocap is operated through dialogs, right-click menus on the datasets in the projects and through user-generated scripts or workflows.

Geocap is a powerful programming environment, and the combination of a scripting language with workflows, excellent visualization and programmable interface makes Geocap an ideal platform for any development of geosoftware.
