4. Data Management

Introduction

This chapter describes how to organize your project, including import and export of datasets. It will also explain how to view and edit dataset properties.

Moving data

Datasets and folders can be moved inside the project using Cut/Copy and Paste:

Right-click a dataset or folder and select Copy or Cut.
Right-click another folder and select Paste

You can also copy datasets and folders from one project to another using the same method.

Removing data

Datasets and folders can be deleted by right-clicking and selecting Delete.

Multiple selection

Geocap offers multiple cut, copy, delete and schema assignments inside folders.

Right-click folder and select Multiple.
Select the operation you want to perform.
Check the dataset or folder you want to perform the operation on.
Run the operation.
