Release date 24.06.2024
New features:
Support for ArcGIS Pro 3.3.
Azure support is now working.
The web client is now embedded in the addin. It is no longer dependant on remote html or JS files.
Seismic data can be displayed in a new Cross Section Viewer by choosing Display in directly from TOC item's context menu.
There is now an improved method of creating a seismic feature class : Click the SEG-Y to VDS button and click Create Seismic Feature Class. This method provides a significant performance improvement compared to using the GP-tool version.
You can copy a seismic feature class together with its referred VDS files by clicking the SEG-Y to VDS button and clicking Copy VDS Feature class. This tool will not only copy the feature class but also ensure that the VDS file referred to in the feature class are copied to the new location, which may be local file system or cloud.
Right click on the displayed data (ei. seismic line, 3D cube, etc.) in 3D Scene opens context menu
Show in TOC context menu option (mentioned in previous bullet point), leads to a short blink of this element in the TOC
SEG-Y file navigation only can now be imported. This is done in the SEG-Y scanner.
Seismic amplitudes can optionally be imported in combination with the navigation as rasters in TIF, PNG or JPG formats.
SEG-Y scanner
Now has preview for various Delay Rec time methods constant and as read from byte position 109, including scaling.
Added samples/amplitudes viewer to the SEGY scanner
Supports depth unit as well as time units in the sample viewer

The SEG-Y to VDS panel now includes a Quick Scan. This will perform basic testing of various properties of the SEG-Y file.
SEG-Y scanner has a Statistics pane for showing results from scanning traceheaders
The SEG-Y scanner now supports navigating to a trace by entering the trace number directly and pressing Enter.
When creating features from VDS the textual header will be properly auto-detect for EBCDIC vs ASCII before being written to the feature class.
Seismic 2D window update: It is now not possible to pan out of seismic extent in the x direction.
Various VDS tasks that involve multiple files are grouped as one task in the Job Manager instead of one pr file. This makes it easier to cancel operations that involve many files.
Fixed error that would occur when performing multiple writes to file geodatabase when creating features from multiple VDS files.
When converting SEGY files to VDS options for resolving the case where target VDS file exists has been added.
Bugfixes
AGS display now handles GDB located on a shared disk with \.. path convention
Line representation of Seismic 2D window in Map will now handle multiple traces with identical coordinates at end of line. This could lead to navigation coordinates ending up at (0, 0)

Clicking Geocap logo now points to our url using https:, not http:
vds files created in cloud now get the correct extension “.vds”

Usage:
Create an empty target feature class using the Create Seismic Feature Class tool
Import SEGY 2D/3D to VDS by clicking the SEG-Y to VDS button. NOTE : Ensure that the 'ensemble' fields header values point to valid X, Y coordinate fields in the headers. VDS uses this to create the geometry.

Ground Model 2.0.13
Release date 06.09.2023
This release contains significant performance improvements and bugfixes. An upgrade is recommended.
Features in feature layers are not automatically displayed in the TOC. This is to improve performance when loading feature layers with many features. Feature layers in the Geocap TOC are now similar to feature layers in the ArcGIS TOC, ie just the layer is displayed and the whole layer is turned on/off. Also select a feature in the map will display the whole layer. To view individual features in the TOC use the Expand Features entry in the right-click menu.
Various raster operations ask for raster stats only when needed, also improving performance.
Performance of display of multipoints has been improved.
The AGS reader now keeps measurements that are missing _BASE values. They will now keep the TOP value as a single entry. Previous versions would either flag an error (CANCEL) or SKIP the line.
Bugs related to restoring AGS scenes have been fixed.
General performance improvements related to adding data from map.
Known issues :
Scenes with multiple logviewer windows do not restore correctly.
Autoloading of scenes require more testing.
2.0.12

Issues related to toolbar icons when using dark mode have been addressed.
Seismic settings can now be customized and fine-tuned on survey level.
2.0.8
Release date: 12.06.2023
1.0.20

Rasters with alpha channel (opacity) is now supported
Clicking a map also activates the corresponding Geocap viewer
The selection cursor is now more visible and contains more information.
Labels are now supported for all geometry types.
AGS
The AGS reader has seen several improvements that make it easier to track down issues in the AGS file itself. The reader will now report more exact information on the location in the file that is causing problems.
You can now choose which columns in the LOCA group will be used as (X, Y ) coordinates. Most files use the NATN/NATE columns but some use the LOCX/LOCY pairs.
The reader now lets you determine what action to take if coordinates or values are missing, such as cancelling the import, skip values etc.
Ability to detect top/base columns dynamically also for user-defined groups defined in the DICT table that fall outside the standard schema.
The viewer/table-of-contents will not perform a query on tables for which a given log (LOCA_ID) does not exist, which improves performance and leads to less clutter in the TOC.
The viewer will automatically adjust column widths also for columns that show curve data. This is required when the LOCA_ID log name is wider than usual
Cursor tracking in the viewer is now supported also for interval-style logs like interpretations, not just curve-style logs.
Seismics
The SEG-Y reader now supports SEG-Y files with integer-based sample values (SEG-Y data format code 2)
SEG-Y supports using source elevation depth as navigation Z and setting any type of sample interval unit to override default microseconds.
SEG-Y reader creates feature classes of SchemaVersion4, where sample interval and sample unit are copied as-is from SEG-Y file.
SEG-Y reader supports appending to existing feature class (tip: Just paste path to FC into the "target workspace" field and press Tab
SEG-Y reader supports Lag time A and B
SEG-Y reader supports different sample units both in depth and time
SEG-Y scanner supports mute start /end time

Missing raster histogram/stats working
Stability improvements
TOC handling improved, including fixed issues with disappearing TOC
Performing buffer clipping does not remove any existing data in the TOC. Remove manually before clipping if needed
Histogram is recalculated if the user sets up 8- or 16-bit raster output
Buttons grayed out in the toolbar are now accessible
Z-value supported also for point symbols
2D seismic cursor shown in map after map rename
Special characters handled in data path
The previous versions of the AGS reader misinterpreted the top-bottom columns for certain groups having SAMP_TOP + SPEC_DPTH columns. Specifically the SAMP_TOP/SPEC_DPTH values were used instead of SPEC_DPTH/SPEC_BASE. This would to error in the resulting geometry. The new version of the AGS reader fixes this and as noted above is also able to detect top/bottom intervals for user defined. Currently the only way to fix this is to re-import the AGS files. We may soon provide a tool that repairs geometry in feature classes for AGS files that have been imported. This error only applies to a subset of the interval-style tables that typically have interpretations etc within a top/bottom interval, not the scalar-measurement class of tables that show up as curves in the display.
SEG-Y reader. When reading 16- or 8 -bit seismics the histogram would still be keeping the 32-bit statistics leading to color mismatch during display. This is now recalculated correctly. To fix this either re-import or repair using the Update Seismic Histogram tool. Note that this tool will take a while. This only applies to 16-bit or 8-bit imports, not the usual 32-bit float.
