What is the usage of the checkbox to the left of the dataset?

When you display a dataset, the checkbox next to it will be checked. You can toggle the graphics on and off by clicking in the checkbox.

If you click in the checkbox of a dataset which has not been previoulsy dispalyed, it will execute its schemas default command. (Folders do not have a default command.)

To change the default command of a schema read this: Edit schema
