Introduction

This command is executed from folders of type Generic and will operate on data with schema type Multibeam SurveyPointcloudPoly Data or Structured Points (surfaces).

The command is removing data either inside or outside polygons.
For Multibeam Survey and Pointcloud data the removed data will be flagged as Polygon Filtered. The filtering can be reverted by the Revert Flagged Points command. 
For Poly Data and Structured Points the original data item is kept, and the filtered dataset gets the extension _Filtered.

The content of the menu

The Polygon filter part:

The Polygon input field: Select and click on a poly data item in the project. Use the green arrow on right hand side to insert the data item. The data item can contain several polygons.

The Remove points radio buttons:

  • Outside polygon: Select to remove data outside the polygons.
  • Inside polygon: Select to remove data inside the polygons.

 

The Dataset type part:

The two radio buttons:

  • Points: Set data set list to show Multibeam SurveyPointcloud or Poly Data points items.
  • Surfaces: Set data set list to show Structured Points surface items.

The Dataset or Surfaces part:

Select the datasets of selected type to execute the polygon filter on.
