Introduction

The XYZ data folder described are folders of schema type Soundings. Into this folder type files containing XYZ points should be imported. For some functionality the points also can have a Date/Time value.

The content of the folder

The XYZ data folder contains the data and the tools for working with XYZ points data from different sources in a Geocap Seafloor project. The XYZ data folder is located under the Survey folder, and a Geocap Seafloor project can contain several XYZ data folders. The Survey folder menu contains tools for creating new XYZ data folders.

The XYZ data folder contains several menu items on the right click menu. The tools for XYZ data are located on the top of the menu, and listed in the graphic below. The functionality of each of the tools is described later in this section.
