Introduction

Geocap supports several formats for exporting a graphical scene as a screenshot, such as:

  • JPG
  • PNG
  • TIFF
  • Postscript (.ps)
  • Encapsulated Postscript (.eps)
  • PDF
  • PDF3D
  • VRML

Exporting a graphical scene

To export the graphics window:

  1. Set up your scene
  2. File > Save graphics as
  3. Type in a filename, select a path and export format at the bottom of the file dialog.

If you are exporting an image you will be prompted with a dialog box telling you the pixel size of the image. You can choose to increase the resolution of the image by adjusting the magnification option. The magnification is performed before the rasterization step is performed, so vector-like properties of polygons and text are preserved regardless of magnification.
