Customizing the Interface
Introduction
The interface in Geocap can be edited and modified to the users needs. This section will present a few of the basic ways to customize the interface in Geocap. Much more can be achieved by scripting.
In this section:
Panels
Elements like the toolbox, the project, the message box and others, resides inside panels. These panels are usually docked to one of the four sides in the Geocap interface, but can be moved around as the users wish. This is done by clicking the title bar of the panel and simply dragging it out of its position. The panel can then be dropped anywhere inside our outside the Geocap interface. Moving the panel close to one of the four edges within the Geocap interface will cause a blue section to appear where the panel can be docked.
Docking a project panel
If the blue section appears on top of another panel they will be docked on top of each other and you can switch between the two using the tab.
Customizing toolbars
The toolbar is divided into different sections based on the functionality. You can find the different sections under View.
Toolbar sections in yellow
Hiding/unhiding toolbars
The View menu lets you hide and unhide the different sections from the main toolbar
Moving toolbars
The sections can be moved around in much the same way as panels can. Each section can be moved by clicking the vertical dotted line and dragging it out of its position. The toolbar can then be dropped anywhere inside our outside the Geocap interface. Moving the toolbar close to one of the four edges within the Geocap interface will cause a blue section to appear where the toolbar can be docked.
Creating new toolbars
