6.5 Updated Releases
Common questions about updates
Why should I update to 6.5.x if I am happy with 6.5.0?
- Security and improved functionality
- Bugfixes
Do I need a new license file?
For these release updates you need a license file for 6.4 or 6.5.
Do I need to uninstall the previous Geocap version?
No, it is not required, and it is wise to keep the older version until you have installed and verified the new. But then, to be sure to avoid confusion and to always use the newest version, we strongly advice you to uninstall the older version.
Why so many updates?
After a release we sometimes receive feedback from our users on things that are not working 100% as they ought to. Sometimes we also make minor improvements or add functionality rather than postponing to a new major release.
