N. Export Multibeam Data

Introduction

Seafloor lets you export multibeam survey data as Points and Navigation.

There is a wide range of export possibilities and formats such as, VTK, Esri Shapefile, ASCII Column, VTK ASCII and Dxf ASCII.

Export Multibeam Points

  1. Right click the Multibeam folder under 1. Survey Data and select Export Export Multibeam Data Sensor...
  2. Click the ? icon and read the help text.
  3. Click the Export Points tab.
  4. Select the two first survey lines in the Survey Line part.
  5. In the Export Format part, select the ASCII Column format. 
  6. Click the Ascii export settings button to open the format selection dialog. Click the column datatypes (X, Y and Z) too see the choices. Then close the dialog with Cancel.
  7. In the Output file part select the folder name for the output.
  8. Click Execute.
  9. Check the result in the selected output folder.

  1. Click the Export Navigation tab.
  2. Select the two first survey lines in the Survey Line part.
  3. In the Export Format part, select the ASCII Column format. 
  4. Click the Ascii export settings button to open the format selection dialog. Note the column datatypes DateTime, X, Y and Z. Close the dialog with Cancel.
  5. In the Output file part select the folder name for the output.
  6. Click Execute.
  7. Check the result in the selected output folder.
